Frequently Asked Questions

Under EU law all hemp products deriving from approved EU industrial hemp strains and containing less than 0.2% THC are legal to possess and sell throughout the European Union. Currently there are around 100 EU approved strains of hemp, and this list is constantly growing as breeders create new strains with improved properties.

Hemp as a plant, and it's constituent parts, are perfectly legal to consume as they have been for thousands of years, but CBD extractions have recently been classified as a novel food. This means any CBD extracts made using either CO2 or ethanol extraction processes are currently not allowed to be sold for human consumption within Ireland. For this reason, all our CBD crystals,oils, and other extracts are sold strictly for cosmetic/topical use only. All orders are dispatched from within Ireland.

All flower and hash orders are packaged inside three sealed layers. Between the second and third layer we spray fragranced odour eater to eliminate and mask any escaping smells.
The products are then packaged in plain packaging with no distinguishing marks or features. Discretion and privacy is our utmost priority.

You don't need an account to shop with us. Simply select the Guest Checkout option during the order process to make your purchase without creating an account.

We do always recommend creating an account as it will allow you to easily check your order status, make repeat orders, and access many other features not available as a guest.

Currently we accept cryptocurrency payments by via Plisio, or Euro payments by bank transfer to our AIB account. If sending AIB to AIB transfers should be instant. If sending from other banks please check how long your bank will take to send payment (Revolut and N26 are quick, but Bank of Ireland is painfully slow!). Orders will only ship after full payment has cleared.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to find payment processors who will accept payments for CBD products. After looking into it, and being quoted a 4 figure registration fee followed by a 3 figure monthly admin fee and additional processing fees on every payment received, we worked out we would need to increase prices by around 50% just to cover the monthly costs. We aim to provide quality products at affordable prices, and processing card payments just isn't affordable!

We currently send with An Post, or DPD, which you can select at checkout.

Orders are dispatched same day if payment clears before midday. Orders received in the afternoon we will try to dispatch same day, however this is not guaranteed.

If a tracked postage method is selected at checkout, tracking will be emailed to you as soon as your order ships.

On extremely rare occasions when parcels aren't delivered we will offer the choice of a replacement or full refund.

Here at Hempie all orders come with a no questions asked 30 day returns policy.
Simply fill out a returns form, which can be found by following the returns link in the Customer Service section at the bottom of each page, then return your unopened item to us. A full refund will be issued within 48hrs of receiving your returned parcel.
Please note all returned items must be in their original packing and unopened. We cannot accept returns of products where the packages have been opened or damaged by the consumer.
